I visited Roma Cafe at the suggestion of co-workers. The food was outstanding, as was the service by a very mature waiter. The lasagne was one of the best I have eaten, and the bread was just wonderful. I don't know why the Italian breads are so much better in the north. My dining partner's chicken dish was also delicious. The portions are very generous which meant we had to pass on dessert. The next time I am in Detroit, I plan to dine there again.

I went to Roma Cafe on a suggestion from my dad who had lived in Detroit about 45 years ago. He wasn't sure that place was still even there. It was a very pleasurable experience. The atmosphere was old world and staff was very friendly. The food was incredible and left no room for dessert. It is unfortunate that the last reviewer had a negative experience. There were people of different races in the restaurant when I was there and there didn't seem to be any problems. They were with their children as well and seemed to be enjoying their meal.
