Clinton Township Restaurant Guide

We just had an aweful dining experience at dimitris tonight. The waiter cursed at my husband and was acting "out of control". The only manager on duty was an old lady. The bar tender was there a I feel like telling my friends and family, not top go there anymore!

Restaurant + Bar; great fish tank, great service. Have a drink upstairs in spring-summer hours at their above the Boulevard Dance Bar. A different feel for the Metropolitan Beat or Local yocal. Ohio Visitor.

A professional waitstaff and the best escargot I've eaten in a long time made my dining experience one to remember. Menu is varied enough for anyone's taste in food. Atmosphere is casual and prices are mid-range for this area. Would recommend this eatery to anyone.

Great food and service.

Dimitris is a very respectable place, they put great time and effort into what they do, it is obvious why they have managed to stay open for many many years. you are welcomed into the door by a young man who is very hardworking and nice. I am guessing one of the owners spouses because he makes sure everyone is takin care of ounce they step in the door till they are walking back out there doors. The atmosphere in the building is one of its strong suits from being very people friendly to the OPA you hear through the restuarant as the famous flaming cheese is being lit. This is a two part restuarant with a Bar and grill on the 2nd floor which is also very nice but could def use some fixn up but just some minor fixes such as paint but other than just the minor fixes also very nice. especially in the summer iwth the open windows and summer night. Great spot for couples up and down. Always a good time. Definately would recomen this to anyone looking for some place new to check out and to step away from the typical chain restuarant which is everywhere. This place defines the meaning behind family buisness. Excellent soups and must have one the the best chefs around I would say with all of its home made dishes. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT you wont be dissapointed

Fabulous restaurant! My husband and I just enjoyed a lovely dinner together, we had a cozy table by the fireplace. There are 3 large fish tanks in the place (kids will love them). The staff is very friendly, they give you that "cheers - everybody knows your name" feeling. GREAT food and lots of it. Forget the chain restaurants, the food is better here, and at lower prices! Amazing. Bread basket, soup, salad included with dinner. I enjoyed a fabulous Rainbow trout dinner. They have a huge selection of meals, great Greek selections. Something for everyone! I don't know how they do it, but I hope they continue - my husband and I will keep coming back!

I have been going to this restaurant for five years now. It is one of the cleaner restaurants I have been to. They have excellent food, service and plenty of selections. I love their fish and chips.

Good thing it's dark in there. The place was very dirty. Wait staff was sitting at a bar top table eating and smoking, not washing then delivering drinks. The cooks were behind the dumpster smoking. My steak was overdone. The twice baked potatoe was salty and old. Ten years ago I loved the place. now not so much

Dimitri's Rendezvous hasn't been around for thirty years for nothing. Forget the Applebees and Fridays of the new generation and take a step back where quality and quantity are not just expected but required. You want steak? Got it. Seafood? Got it. Homemade Greek cuisine? Got it. Also you get the bang for your buck. Not only is it cheap but it includes everything, soup salad, potato, and entree. You can get that anywhere else, but you will pay triple! Recommended to anyone with a small wallet and big belly!!!

I just enjoyed a large group dinner at Dimitris Rendezvous. I had a great time! The upstairs is a spacious, open floorplan, multi-level party area with long bar on the west side and large private rooms on the east. The clearstory windows make it a bright sunny area with amazing views during the day, and a cool night perch over Gratiot's continuous flow of headlights.

Our party was downstairs. I personally prefer darker intimate settings and this delivers. If you're a fan of brightly lit family restaurants, then this is not for you. My 1 star rating of this as a Kids Friendly restaurant is my own preference that you keep your kids at home. In this classic dark wood, large fishtanks environment, I prefer to sip my tall cocktail without your spawn wandering the aisles.

The food delivers on what it says, the prices are just right ($13 for a 12oz NY Strip full-course dinner) and their twice-baked potato is not to be missed. DESSERT ALERT: Dimitris Rendezvous understand cheesecake as well or better than my old dessert hangouts in Manhatten; in other words, if you appreciate hard-to-find NY cheesecake -- which is NOT supposed to be moist or pudding-like, folks -- you can find it here. And while the optional fruit topping is fresh, be a purist and enjoy it plain the way nature intended.

BTW, I topped-off 4 well-made gin & tonics with a satisfying Brazilian coffee drink featuring cognac and grand marnier. Magnifique!

Dimitri takes pride in every entree served in his restaurant. The greek and seafood dishes are superb. Dimitis house dressing is out of this world. One of our favorite places to dine.

The food at Dimitris is excellent, they have the best fresh bread anywhere. Also have excellent values, and the Ranch Dressing is to die for.
