This is the best poboy restaurant I've ever been to. The Roast Beef is cooked on the premises and reminds me of the good old poboys we got long ago. The oyster challenges the roast beef. I
particularly enjoy his Hot Sausage Po-Boy, homemade at the restaurant. The meatball is very Italian with a delicious sauce. The shrimp also. The catfish is superb. He stuffs an artichoke like I've never had in a long time. The muffuletta is like Central Grocery of the old daze. Sides are outstanding. The onion rings are homemade, fries, the best, baked macaroni and his potato salad too. All of our friends agree and I really recommend it. Everything is home cooked and the staff is exremely helpful and polite. The Captain is always there and treats all customers as if each is as important as the one before. He was great in N.O. Radio and TV, but better as a restaurant owner who pays attention to all of your needs. Highly recommended. Pricey? Yes, but you really get what you pay for. He's open 11A-2P and 5P-8P Tues thru Saturday. Many times we'll call and order to go. His number is 985-640-0916. That food gets to you hot, fresh and good. His bread is Leidenheimer (?) and dressings are always fresh. It's worth the trip. Try it, you'll like it, guaranteed!
