Slidell Restaurant Guide

My family and I went to Phil's for a family meal to celebrate several birthday's for the month. We had 13 of us together. Everyone's meals came out but 1 person...that meal was "forgotten" in the order although the server repeated our order before leaving the table. Everyone was finished eating before his meal was delivered. We asked for the manager...she came out, had a horrible attitude and slammed the door into the back kitchen area when I asked for the owner. The owner came out and had the same bad attitude. The prices and the food are decent but the service and care of the patrons are aweful!

We frequent Phil's since Katrina--usually go by boat. I find the food and service have improved greatly since katrina. Love the old Salvaggio's menu- Softshell Crab Duddy/ Patrick. Nice casual dining- great for a large group. Bread pudding is outstanding.

Service is less than you would expect. Food used to be really good, but has gone downhill since Katrina. When I complained to the owner, he basically said he didn't care what I thought. We have stopped going to Phil's after being regulars for years. The view of the Marina is nice.

Phils has the best seafood in slidell, the atmoshere is nice the service was great and the sunsets are beautiful.

My family and I visit phils marina cafe frequently. The food is always wonderful but I have NEVER been satisfied with the service. As I am a server myself, I know the difference between good and bad service. Recently, on our last visit our server never had our drinks filled, when we got our food she never came back to ask us how everything was our if we needed anything. When we finally caught her attention she brought back our lemons on a NAPKIN from the bar. And filled only one of our drinks when all of them where empty. We were finished with our food and my dad wanted desert, we sat there looking around for her and she comes to give us our bill. She put the bill on the table and walked away, she didnt ask us if we needed anything else or if we saved room for desert. She was the worst server I have ever had. None of the servers or even the hostess look happy or have personality. I will never recommend Phils Marina Cafe to anybody or eat there myself again.

We are regular customers at Phils Cafe. We usually go by boat. You can't beat their shrimp special. It's an overall good eating experience.

Nice atmosphere especially at sunset. Food was good mostly fair prices except the specials like the boiled shrimp, which hit our pockets heavy. If the weather cooperates, sit outside. Our service was fair at best but could be in training. We know that post-K service industry has been lax in this area, not just Phil’s.

We visited the cafe for the first time this weekend, were very impressed with the service, the quality of the food, and the prices. I have family in Slidell, and will return to this cafe each time we visit.

This is in the Eden Isles and there is a patio that you can sit out on and eat...the have a superb fried shrimp plate at a great price...you can dock your boat here..or hang out and have a beer and peel some boiled seafood at the bar..its a neighborhood freindly place
