Restaurant Description
Even the name Café Trastevere sounds like a restaurant from the heart of a little medieval neighborhood in Rome. It would have been a tragedy if it stopped there but its décor boasts the same authentic charm as does their name. The outdoor terrace will make you forget that you are in the mist of a busy downtown in Orlando. The food is crafted with a culinary finesse of both Northern and Southern Italian styles with the freshest ingredients. They boast an innovative menu with starters such as the Calamari Fritti that uses tender pieces of seasoned and fried calamari with either a Dra' Diavolo (which is a spicy sauce) or the marinara sauce. With soups of the day that will surely excite you while the Crab and Corn Bisque would just make your mouth water with it's light cream soup base with chucks of crab meat and delicate corn kernels. Seafood lovers would be wise to check out their fish of the day dish or try one of their other enticing seafood dishes. Of course Café Trastevere would not be an Italian restaurant without it's fresh selections of pastas. Go ahead, take a break from the your busy city life and head to Café Trastevere; a haven and tastes from Rome that is in the heart of downtown Orlando.Recent Café Trastevere Reviews

Firstly, the beauty inside and the surrounding gardens make up for any naturally occuring, yet inevitable, minut, mistake any employee can make in this industry. The Staff treats all patrons with respect and courtisey. I love coming to this cafe.

The entrees were great tasting, but the desserts were very bland. Very disappointing to say the least.
The cleanliness of the restrooms had a lot to be desired and did not say much for this restaurant. Luckily for the establishment, we did not visit the restrooms ahead of time or we would have chosen to eat elsewhere. Not the same Trastevere as when (papa) owned at the 17/92 location. (Sonny), you have a lot to learn about cleanliness.
