We have eaten here before and were not impressed with service or value. Today we decided to give it another try. A sign informed of new management which was evident by a really nice guy giving customers lots of personal attention. There was actually a buffet available for the first time, and only $5.50. The salad bar included only basic items - lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, canned fruit, etc. Pepperoni was the only meat on the salad bar. There were 4 kinds of pizza - pepperoni and 3 other kinds that were very similar to each other. Two penne pastas, alfredo and marinara, were available and were dry. The pizza sauce was very heavy with oregano which ruined it for us. The crusts were just okay. The pros: 1) attentive manager; 2) attractive dining area, 3)low price buffet and fresh ingredients made up for its lack of variety, and 4) the bathroom was spotless, spacious, and had soft wonderful tissue (thanks). Asiago needs to: 1) add spaghetti to the buffet, 2) improve its sauce, and 3) add more variety. We will be back. 02-06-11.

We recently used a coupon for a lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the fresh quality of the food. They advertise a buffet but there was not one. The waitress was friendly but inept even though there were very few other customers during our meal. We had the chicken alfredo and lasagna, and both were excellent. The portions were on the small side with teeny tiny salads and small pieces of toast. We were told that the restaurant does not have a lunch menu. Therefore, you pay the same at lunch as you do for dinner but get lunch portions for dinner prices. The coupon made it worth the value. The dining room was very attractive. We probably would not go back if we did not have a coupon, but we would recommend because the food was of high quality. We would definitely like to see a lower priced lunch menu.

A great restaurant overall, but there is one problem that should be addressed. They recently started a promotion where you get a free appetizer with the purchase of an entree on your next visit. This is printed at the bottom of your receipt. When

Italian
Definitely the best Italian food in the Triad - especially the Tiramisu! Huge portions for a great price, and excellent menu for people with varying tastes and diet requirements. Comfortable, colorful and fun.
