Steamers is one of the finest restaurants in Tacoma or anywhere as far as that goes. The whole experience from ordering to paying the bill is handled well indeed. I can recommend Steamers to others who enjoy a fine seafood restaurant near the waters of Puget Sound. I have traveled the world over and can't recall having a better experience in a restaurant anywhere. Jack

I am a young working professional and I take my dining as seriously as my work. I have never been more pleased with service, quality and pricing as I have been with Steamers. The manager Michael made sure to go out of his way and welcome me, shook my hand and served me up the BEST bowl of clam chowder I have had in years. I have read a lot of reviews on this place and must say that I cannot believe people are complaining about the prices! Steamers provides one of the best views any restaurant in town can offer, the best seafood in town for the BEST DOLLAR you could ask for. Trust me when I tell you, they have earned my office’s loyalty for years to come. Keep up the wonderful work Michael, your staff is a direct reflection of yourself as a manager, and in so saying, your staff is wonderfully delightful. Thank you for your kindness and awesome service.

This is one of my very favorite places to eat. I live just up the hill and go there at least a couple times a month. Their scallops are particularly wonderful!

I loved it. The view of the bridge and the trees in the distance it was amszing. I wish they still had the parking out front but that was taken by the railroad. :(

The restaurant is one of my favorites for unique decor, ambiance and setting--however, the food is slightly below mediocre--the hamburger is lost in the bun, the fish and chips (the chips are either limp or to crisp--the fish is too breaded and crisp) the coffe is usually luke warm--I like the self serve arrangement, otherwise the prices would probably be completely unaffordable. I have found the employees to be generally friendly and helpful--The only time we eat there is when we have a coupon or occassionally when we go early for the senior discount--its to bad as it could be a great little place

Recently ate here, always one of my favorite places, for the first time in a few months and found that they'd gotten rid of their fantastic one-of-a-kind chock-full-of-seafood red Seafood Stew & replaced it with a milky, gummy so-called Manhattan Clam Chowder (which it is not). PLEASE, everyone, tell them to bring back their seafood stew!!!

We have eaten at Steamers for several years, for the second time in a row our food was delivered cold. The french fries were hard from sitting under a heat lamp, not eatable. Is it under new management???? Gone way down hill.

We LOVE Steamers !!! Sure - the price is a little high, and its not going to win any awards for service - but, the food is very good, and the area is amazing.

great view and ok food but ...OH THE HIGH PRICE FOR what you get. Will go if I'm not paying! But never if if I'm looking for reasonable price and service.

I've had better service at McDonalds. My father NEVER received his order, and "Bruce" refused to give a refund. He offered no gift card and no apology; he did, however, offer a sarcastic "have a nice day."
I've never encountered a more disrespectful manager or such horrible service. I learned my lesson: when eating out, don't pay for the food before you get it.

My son, his girlfriend and I tried to have a nice meal at your Titlow Beach location this evening. We ordered, sat down and waited for the meals to come. After a normal wait, the two meals that my son and his girlfriend were served and the server said that mine would be out shortly. The kids proceeded to eat, assuming that I would be served momentarily, but as the meals were consumed, it became apparent that the last meal was not coming.
After waiting for 35 minutes, my son went to the cashier and inquired about the missing meal and Bruce told him that he could have the price of the meal refunded. Nice, but totally unsatisfactory. Apparently the server had gone on a break and not asked anyone to serve mine when it was prepared. I'm quite certain that the plate of food just sat there and got cold. The poor service, as well as not having the manners to come out and offer to make things right when the mistake was discovered is particularly galling.
The three of us have eaten there many times in the past, but will no longer find a reason to go down to the bottom of the hill to dine there. We will also not be shy about sharing our displeasure with anyone that we know. The service was poor and the lack of respect that we received was even more troubling. I can't rate the food this time, as it was never served, but overall, it was a terrible dining experience.

The perfect place to go for seafood-casual and a great view-love to go there on sunny days. A little pricey but worth it if you want a little something different than your typical fast food seafood restuarant.

Both times we've gone there's been a line, but it moved pretty fast. Food is brought to your table and arrived quickly. A beautiful view of Narrows Bridge and the Sound. Also right at train tracks. Had high chairs for our kids, paper and crayons. Pricey, but unique and fun.

Food is great, but too pricy!! The store made vinegar is to die for.

Fish and chips or alternatives for the picky eater! Kids can color in this informal setting. Yummy!
