 Petes BBQ is an ecclectic place !! Miss that mom and pop hole in the wall service ?? Super friendly staff. The "Honey Drop" while waiting for your meal is a super excellent way to unwind for dinner -- you get the whole meal free if the wait staff "drops" the honey. What fun !!
Certain days and certain dining hours offer special pricing on your favorite entree' -- Save room for the dessert !!
I first ate at Petes' in 1993 -- their BBQ sauce and Rib tips are the best ever !! I have since moved from the Tacoma area and have a relative pick me up an order and a bottle of sauce. I just can't go too long without missing Petes.
I grew up in the South, there are not many Westerners who know how to make authentic ribs !! Petes knows how to do it and VERY well.

I won a gift certificate for a dinner for two with a limit of $25.00. I wanted to take my husband, son & his girlfriend out for dinner on Father's Day. We live approximately an hour's drive from BBQ Pete's In Tacoma. When we got to BBQ Pete's and noticed on the wall that they had a sign stating that they do not honor gift certificates or discounts on Father's Day or any other holiday. There was NO mention on the certificate that it could not be used on special days. The hostess said she would mention to the manager or owner that the notice needed to be added to the certificate. I don't intend to make another trip to BBQ Pete's in Tacoma.
