Chicken King has always been my favorite restaurant to eat at. The restaurant is open Sun-Wed until 9:00. The weekends it is open until 10:00. The people who work there are always so friendly and I always look forward to visiting Chicken King because their ribs are the best I've ever eaten. Chicken King has been in the Waterford area since I've lived in the area for the last 14 years and I will continue to patronize such a wonderful establishment.

chicken king has great food but they do not answer the phone and always close early the signs says 10:00pm i will call at 8:45pm and no one wil answer i then drive by and the place is closed. happens all the time i work afternoons and live close bye so i try to call on my way home from the plant but nine times out of ten they dont answer the phone and close early. so i recomnd you try chicken shack or somewhere else the people that work there are rude and worried more about closing early to go party then to have great customer service

My family has been eating at Chicken King for the last 9 years. They do such a great job with their quality of product and have always been my family's favorite restaurant to eat. They cater all of our parties from birthdays to graduations and have always done such a wonderful job. Keep up the good work Chicken King, you are still the best!

This used to be nmy favorite place toget chicken and broasted potatoes. That was until tonight when I called for a caryout and got hung up on 5 times then gave up. Chicken Shack is just down the street. There food list is the same and basically the same price. And, they don't hang up on you!

Last night I went in for a carry out.I ordered the 2 rib dinners.I asked that they not over cook them.I got them home ,and they were so over cooked they were so dry we could not eat them.that was not the worst./The longest rib on mine was 2 1/2 inches down to an 1 1/4.like i got parts of 2 ends the short ends.the 2 nd one was not much better 3 1/2 down to 2.

Chicken King has the best broasted chicken and potatoes around. The ribs melt in your mouth, and the staff may be young but they get the job done with a smile on their face and a great attitude. Sometimes there may be a wait but it is well worth it for great food, fresh and hot.

Chicken King is by far the best restaurant with Broasted Chicken and BBQ Baby Back Ribs. The quality of their food is exceptional with the personality of their staff second to none. Still one of the Original Waterford Landmarks still in existance today. I can see why because when you enter their dining room, you are treated with a warm smile and a happy face. When I heard they opened another facility in Downtown Farmington, I had to tell all my friends who live in that area how lucky they are to have a Chicken King in their neiborhood. Chicken King, the best place you'll eat at without a doubt.

The food is great but service was horrible. Ordered 2 days prior for a large group and waited 1/2 hour for order. Was provided a sorry excuse by the "manager" that they were busy with too many catering orders. Was told that I showed up at a different time than my receipt actually said and she then argued with me about the actual time on the register being different than my watch. After she was very rude to me, she finally offered a lame apology, which was the first non-excuse words she said. I was told it was a 5 minute wait when I arrived and after 20 minutes I finally approached her again and was told that "well, I can't give you raw chicken now can I?". When I then asked for the manager, I couldn't believe that it was the person I had been dealing with. I was offered no compensation for making 40 people wait for their dinner that had been ordered 2 days ahead of time. Apologize and throw in 3 or 4 pieces of chicken and I would have been happy. PLEASE educate your managers. DON'T offer excuses. DO apologize. AND THANK THEM FOR THEIR BUSINESS. I told her "You're welcome" on the way out but since she never thanked me for my business, she had no idea why I was saying it!

Without a doubt, Chicken King has the BEST BBQ ribs in Michigan. In fact they are so good that I do not know why Chicken King does not change it's name to Rib King. Don't get me wrong, the broasted chicken is excellent, but the standout is the ribs. I usually get takeout and the service is prompt and efficent.

Chicken King has the best broasted chicken I have ever had. The bbq baby back ribs fall off the bone while the sweet sauce makes my mouth water. Best Ribs and Chicken my family has ever had!!!

Chicken king has very good food, however, the service there is not good. As I waited for my order, I noticed how they give good service to certain individual and not to others. It appears that people of color is not treated the same. The cashier did not have any patience with me when ordering and even walked away from the window when I was talking.
