About Wink
In Austin, the choices for authentic French cuisine are few, and those that do thrive often have inauthentic menu items and lackluster décor. At Wink Restaurant, however, diners are offered a unique set of dishes that remind any Frenchman of home, along with offering the best of what this country has to offer.
Unlike traditional restaurants that serve the routine appetizer, main course, and dessert combination, Wink offers smaller dishes and encourages multiple main courses to be ordered to get the full flavor of their decadent cuisine. For the seasoned palate, they do offer larger dishes.
Their menu changes with the seasons as expert chefs rely on fresh produce. The ingredients used to create these dishes are as local as possible–head chefs Mark and Stewart are committed to buying locally and organic when possible. They even list the farms where produce and meats came from right on the menu.
Wink also has a sultry wine bar that offers a wide variety of beverages. They also have a shorter menu list specially prepared for bar goers that features pub items. Even if you’re not here for a meal, Wink’s wine bar atmosphere is a high-energy place suited for a night out.
The service is outstanding at Wink. Servers and chefs alike go out of their way to guarantee a pleasant experience. For special occasions and with advance notice, chefs will often create special menus just for the celebrating party. Servers know the menu and are involved in understanding food preparation, so ask for suggestions if you are undecided.
Wink is an example of a restaurant that does things right. This aesthetically pleasing décor and energetic atmosphere will allow for diners to partake in a fine dining meal, and the service aids in authenticating that experience.

Excellent food and draft beer selection, a true neighborhood bar feel with great staff. Surrounded by TVs for every major event, but especially like the huge screen in the back room.
