T.G.I. Fridays American, Casual/Family 685 Beach Street At Hyde, San Francisco (415) 775-8443  I've been here a few times. The food is pretty good but the wait (for the food) is looong. I think all of the times I went there me and my friends had to wait for like 20 minutes. And the women's bathroom can be very unclean.

Empress of China Chinese 838 Grant Ave, San Francisco (415) 434-1345  The food was very good, a little pricy, but worth it. The service was the best. The waiters were attentive and friendly. The decor is gorgeous and the view is nice. I'd definitely recommend the Empress to friends visiting the area.
