In January of 2009, my husband and I went to Twin Mountains for our Anniversary dinner. I had always LOVED the filets there. I ordered one and it didnt even taste or look like filet meat. I took half of it home and threw it out. Did not eat but about two bites. I was sorry about this experience. Told the hostess the meat was certainly not up to their usual standards and she said "Really?" And that was that. Will never go back there.

At @ TM last week (Sept 23, 2009). The Scraps were just as tasty and perfectly prepared as I remembered; bread was good, onion rings OK, pecan pie about average for West Texas (which is GOOD, don't get me wrong). But, the appearance and decor of the restaurant leave a lot to be desired, and the wait staff was, to put in bluntly, awful. I lived in San Angelo for 7 years, so I know about the "here for US, not for out-of-towners" attitude, and I'm basically OK with it, but I probably won't be recommending TM to my colleagues travelling to Goodfellow anymore. At best a caveat - good food, don't expect much else.

The Waitstaff is RUDE as are the cashiers! The food is good but during these hard times paying customers in no way deserve to be treated so badly. I think ill take me hard earned money to Twin Mountain.

We ate at twin mountain on 7-18-09. We ate ribeye and chicken fry. The ribeye was good and was a perfect size and cut. Chicken fry was perfect and tender. The service was really good. Will come back.

Passing through Texas two friends and I ate there late june 2009. I thought the place could easily be in a third world country with the filthy, matted carpeting which looked as though it hadn't been changed or even cleaned since the l960's. The vinyl on the booths, everyone of them, had at least one piece of duct tape. I refused to eat but my two male friends loved it, loved it, loved it. They would! Best steaks ever they said. The Texas red wine served was delicious.

This used to be a wonderful steak house - the best in San Angelo. We ate there on Monday, June 8, 2009, to celebrate my grand-daughter's 14th birthday; there were 7 of us. The KC for 3 had absolutely no flavor and seemed to be a very poor cut of meat. The fish was over cooked and the pieces very small. The bread and the lasagna were good. The salad was good, for a lettuce salad, but had only two tomato slices. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was drab and dark. I remember days when the company for which I worked always took out of town guests to Twin Mountain. It is no longer an establishment of grandeur, and that is a loss for this community.

I can only speak for myself and my husband, but we absolutely swear by this steak house!!! The bread was so delicious, the salad dressing was fantastic and the steak was yummy!!! I told a friend about it and she loved it. I hope I can get back to Texas so I eat there again and hopefully I can take my sister there too!!!

Definitely having my Christmas party here again this year. I have my company parties here as often as I can. They now have a couple of private rooms available. Great food and will work with to make sure you get the best service possible. Definately the best steaks and seafood in San Angelo. Thanks Twin Mountain....see you soon.

My ole grandpappy told me when I was a little itty-bitty thang that if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing. My lips are sealed, but this place is truly disgusting! (Sorry grandpappy, but I had to!)

We ate at Twin Mountain the other night and I had some of the best catfish I have ever had! My wife had the Talapia and it was also as good as I've ever had it. And don't dare forget about their chicken fried steak!! It's just about the best around. I used to eat there a lot as a kid and would always get the scraps, but this steakhouse has a lot more to offer than just steak!

We had visitors from out of town and always had good food when we ate at Twin Mts.,but on 11-17-2006 everything(food, service) was terrible. The KC steaks were very very tough, no taste, and we did not enjoy our meal. The waiter never checked on us, and I wrote a note stating the steaks were tough on the bill, and nothing was said or the problem was never addressed. Needless to say, I will not come back and I will not hesitate to tell anyone else....and all of our food was still left on the table.....

The thing about Twin Mountain is there are many reasons to love it. Twin Mountain is not just a steak house, it offers delious italian, sea food, and american food like a big juicy chicken fried steak. Don't get me wrong their steaks are to die for. So if you are ever around San Angelo you owe it to yourself to try the Scraps at Twin Mountain Steak House.
