Restaurant Description

The Lantern has been a part of Lake Forest since 1934. The original owner was Mike Lamorra, owners have included, Earl Russell, James Peddle, Jack Hunke, Charlie Edwards, Mike Faulkner and Lou Taylor.

Don and Irene Tiffany have been the sole proprietors for over thirty years. Since then, the restaurant has tripled in size, the menu has expanded to include some new favorites such as the broasted chicken, barbecued baby back ribs, and homemade pot roast. In 2004 the Lantern finally acquired a full liquor license. Yet, despite the changes, the Lantern is still the warm friendly neighborhood place everyone remembers.

Don Tiffany passed away in December 2007. He will be greatly missed by all. He was a great man!
