This place is under new management as of May 2008. The food quality have been improved greatly. They hired a chef with more than 30 years experience to help spruce up the menu and add some of those little extras only experience can know about. The menu has been update to include the old favorites as well as some higher quality things you do not expect at a dinner. The atmosphere however has not changed. Still a 50's style dinner with a great soda fountain feel.

They can accommodate parties up to 120 people. I have a business meeting there every week with 30 other business people. We are never disappointed.

The Heart Beat Cafe is a great place to eat at. When I ate there I experienced friendly service and felt as if the atmosphere was Just Plain Experienced. There are plenty of neat decorations to look at and admire on the walls.

The Gathering Place (right next to the Cafe and owned by the same folks) is a catering business and will cater out and can hold up to 120 people in there banquet halls.
Visit and I know you will not regret going and experiencing a great meal. When eating there mention to the waitress or someone who works there about this experience and I'm sure you will recieve the same customer service.

What a unique little place to visit for an escape. It's tucked back into some pine woods and you dine overlooking the natural gardens. The food is soup/sandwiches kind of meals with some delicious gourmet teas and coffees. And of course the desserts ...
..Hi Mary Lou...Mary and I think of you and Joe often..I am in the process of doing my "bucket List" and hope to do the state of Indiana next spring. . Best regards, Mary & Doug Reid

What a really cool place to eat! This 1950's themed restaurant is locally owned and operated by folks who are experienced cooks (they cater too). Salad bar was fresh & had good options. The tenderloin and burgers are juicy & excellent. There's plenty on the walls for the kids to look at and talk about. Don't let the boring outside of the building fool you; it's much better inside!
