Brunch, April 13, 2008 The steak (small, dry, not freshgly grilled) and Cobb salad (without promised avocado and with limp greens instead of the Boston or romaine or bibb lettuce that this salad requires to hold its ingredients--see any recipe) were disappointing. Friendly management offered a free dessert to compensate for the missing avocado, but the "creme brulee" (chocolate,I was dismayed to find) was a cupful of My-T-Fine pudding with a small crust, lots of whipped creqm and an unnecessary litle chocolate filigree plus a couple of sugared coffee beans.

We enjoyed the Cellar Door several times while visiting the area. Each time the food was really creative and wonderful, everything was so fresh from the vegetables, home made salad dressings and the great sauces. We hope to get back again in the future.

Pleasant surroundings and great German food. We dine here often and find it to be unique here in the mountains. We always take visitors here and they enjoy it, too!
