I feel like I have lost a good friend. I have dined at the Temperance House for over 20 years. Tonight was the "final straw". Their prime rib used to be the best I had eaten anywhere - including a Rib Room in New Orleans - however, now it's grilled and I can cook better "steak" at home. So sad to see such quality lost. The same thing has happened to their filet - and so many menu changes.....

To run out of Scallops and Strip Steaks, Must have been a busy night ....... then again folks in L-berg are jealous of others trying to make a few bucks.

This is a very elegant restuarant. The food is phenomenal. It is a little pricey, but well-worth it for the food that you get. As I already said, it is a "nice" restaurant so kids might now be quite at home there as some other places nearby.

This restaurant has a new owner and has gone down hill fast. The menu is small and the prices are high. We've tried to dine there a couple times after the new owners took over to give it a fair shake, but have finally decided not to return. How many restaurants run out of a base item such as scallops and new york strip steaks?

a diner from Palm Springs ca.-winter---troy,oh.---summer
visited your rest. sat nite w/6 other people. was in meat buisness 35 yrs. i know a piece of left over warmed up meat[prime rib] when i see--taste it,. I asked for an end cut medium well or well & got 4th-5th cut well done, def tasted as a left over & warmed up. person next to me ordered shrimp & got brd. haddock which she was not happy with. number of people in rest.on a sat nite makes a statement. many vacant tables. ambience especially remodeled bar, very nice, but good fresh food is what counts. if an item such as pr. rib is not freshly cooked delete from menu. I"m not in habit of ret or complaining about the food I"m served, I just don"t return. I grew up in L"burg, now live in palm springs ca. & troy ohio. FYI I am privvy to outstanding resturants in california. am also personal driver for mrs. Barbara Sinatra which also exposes me to finer places to eat. I know L"burg is not P. springs but food is food. right & wrong way to prepare & serve. I ret to pa. each summer to visit while at summer home in ohio. ret to temp. house---doubtful!

This restuarant is very elegant. It is a place that my husband and I reserve for specail occasions because it is a bit expensive. Their seafood is absolutely delightful.
