Diner reviews of Tastee Bones BBQ
A diner from Slidell, LA

I was at TasteE Bones at their new location on Front Street in Slidell today. This was without doubt the worst dining experience I have ever had. To begin with, the wait staff was surly and inattentive. They seemed more concerned with socializing and texting than attending to customers. Although there weren't many customers at the time, it took F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get our food. My chicken was tough and overcooked (perhaps left over from yesterday?)! My friend tried the ribs and found them to be dry and not at all TasteE. I almost lost my lunch when I went to the restroom and saw obvious signs of an uncontrolled cockroach infestation - AND - there was no hot water in the sink. How do employees thoroughly wash their hands without hot water? !!! Avoid this place at all costs!!!

CAUTION!!: Taste E Bones limits the items you are permitted to order using gift certificates purchased from various Internet sources, such as incentRev and restaurant.com (and perhaps this website as well) to SANDWICHES ONLY. These restrictions are NOT shown on the gift certificates (mine was from incentRev), but, as I found out today, are imposed upon the customer at the time of attempted gift certificate redemption. I wanted barbecued chicken and barbecued beans, but could only use my gift certificate for my choice of bologna sandwich (yuk!), pulled pork sandwich, barbecue beef sandwich, hamburger, and rib sandwich. WHAT A RIP OFF!!! DON'T BUY THESE "GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR TASTE E BONES!!"

Most unfriendly staff of any restaurant I have been to in 25 years. Will NEVER go back.

I have been to the New Orleans locations several times. Then I bought two $25.00 gift certificate for them from ABC26 & NOLA. One time I order the baby back ribs for take out and they called back to say they had none. The next time I ordered the baby back ribs and they only had one order available so I ordered them and several other items. I told them that I was going to use my gift certificate and they said the certificate was for dine-in only. That is not one of the restrictions on my gift certificate. They have no table and chairs at the New Orleans location. They also said they were not accepting their own gift certificates at this time. I will never patronize this restaurant again.

The food may be good but the service is horrible. It's no wonder why the parking lot was empty when I drove up. My first visit was not a happy experience, the Manager/owner's daughter should not be working there. She is

Ryan's is a wonderful family place to go for lunch or dinner. Good over all prices and the food is great down home cooking. My wife and I enjoy going there every chance we get.

Great place to dine. I have eaten there for 15 years and have always had a good experience. Many people dine with their children and the staff is very attentive. The steamed mussels appetizer is a regular for me, as a

Only slightly higher price than a chain joint, but the quality and quantity of the food and service is at least twice that of the chains. You always leave with a "go box" and a smile on your face.
