Lihue Restaurant Guide

This place is AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The food is kind of ok, but totally overpriced. However, the service is atrocious! I had dinner there tonight and was so appalled by my experience that I am having a hard time even giving it one star on the rating system. Not only were we ignored for about ten minutes before we were seated, but the waiter, who late claimed to be the manager/owner, was completely disrespectful and abusive throughout our dining experience. When we asked for more chopsticks, he actually counted the ones on our table and then asked why we needed more because he thought that there were enough there. What?... When we gave him our credit card to pay the bill, he returned fifteen minutes later to notify us that it was declined. It was not possible for the card to be declined, so we offered to call the card company and work it out. Instead, he threw us out of the restaurant and harassed us, calling my a 'haolee' (not sure the spelling) and told us not to come back. He also accused us of being drunk and rude even though we were neither. On top of that, we later realized that he had had the audacity to include a 15% tip to our bill! I was so shocked by his behavior. I have been coming to Hawaii for 25 years and have never experienced anything like this. This person has certainly not read the handbook on the meaning of Aloha. I whole-heartedly recommend against anyone ever going to this place.
