First visited Spiros in the 70s while in the Navy and fell in love with the incredible taste of the Spiros Special. Years later while flying with an air ambulance outfit, we transported a patient to New London and I made arrangements with the FSO folk to delay refueling until one of them could go to Spiros to pick up several large pizzas (one for them). Spiros is a must stop every time that I travel up in that part of the country.

Really great dining. Went here in the early 70's (Navy). I am still telling people about its pizza since then. Always a subject of mine when talking about the "best pizza!" ever tasted (2012). I haven't found better one since.
