Solomon Seafood

My husband and I had heard nothing but GOOD things about Solomon's and looked forward to taking our family, who was visiting from out of town, there. I must say, I was beyond disappointed. It started with the first 3 things I ordered--they were out of them. I tried to be understanding, as it was 9:30 pm (on a Saturday though and they have a full menu until 11)The salad was a disgrace, and the dressings (I tried 2) were even rancid tasting. The langastinos I ordered were SWIMMING in fake butter, and my husbands scallops were swimming in "crap". They were OUT of baked potato...OUT of rice...OUT of just about everything I wanted! and what they had could not have been more horrible. They were even OUT of cheesecake...and I NEVER order desert, but I was still HUNGRY! Keep in mind the server had no idea they were OUT of these items, so with every item she would go back to the kitchen to place my order, and then would come back to tell me "we're out".
I did not complain that evening because I didn't want my family to feel badly, but I could tell by the looks on their faces their meals were just as bad as ours, and I could not have been more embarrassed. :(
I was so quite upset and even emailed Solomon's when I got home, hoping at least for an apology, however, I guess the manager was "out" too, as I didn't even get a response. Thus this review....and I have NEVER reviewed a restaurant before. I would have to say, Solomon's is HORRIBLE. The food is the worst, the service is no better, and there is MUCH better seafood in Washington...Long John Silver's would be an improvement.
