Santa Fe Restaurant Guide

Travelling all the way to Santa Fe from the UK to celebrate my 50th birthday I needed a number of things to work to make the trip and occasion a pleasing and memorable experience. The location, the people, hotel and of course the dining were major factors and all came upto my best hopes - particularly The Sleeping Dog Tavern. As soon as I first entered the place one evening I felt completely at home with the excellent, friendly staff, the ambience and the choice of pre-dinner drinks and relaxing atmopsphere. The meal that followed was as good as the welcome I had immediately received and ensured that on a number of occasions during my stay I dined at The Sleeping Dog Tavern both for lunch and dinner. Even when not dining there I always paid a daily visit for a glass of beer or wine just to relax in such a friendly atmosphere and found fellow tourists were actually doing the exact same thing i.e. if not dining each night at least calling in to say hello over one of the many choices of drinks available. The food quality and taste is top class with just about enough variation (my only slight reservation here), the meals were tasty and fulfilling and there was plenty of fine wines to choose from to accompany your choice of course. Add the cocktails and you have a genuinely pleasing dining experience. If I ever return to Santa Fe and hopefully I will, then The Sleeping Dog Tavern will be my first point of call after check-in.
