This is the best home cooking in north Louisiana! If you're traveling on I-49, and you plan on stopping to eat, forget about the Relay Station truck stop on the west side of the highway. Head the other direction and stop at Shankcats. The barbeque is the best, the meat is smoked with sauce on the side. There's not much need for the sauce, because the meat is so flavorful without it. It's an authentic little shack, with the best food around!
