Scotty's was always a treat. There was no need for ambience when I was oder, it was carry out. The original restaurant must have been a great place to dine, my parents and grand parents loved to go. It was for grown ups. But they did cater events and that food was a reason to attend. I think the owners were always warm and nice as were any employees. The BBQ beans were heaven and I have tried for years to make something that resembles it. The chicken was better than Claudia Sanders, between the two there is a high bar to achieve in fried chicken. Most folks loved the BBQ beef or pork. They had a pie that was perfection. I wish i knew the name, it was probably copyrighted.
