We took a family drive from Williamsburg last week and saw a sign and decided to check it out. There is not much open in Mathews on a Sunday. Boy, were we glad we found this place! Great seafood but plenty of other things for those in my family that don't care for seafood. The kids meal was available as was a foos ball table and trains on the porch. The entire staff was so kind and welcoming and we really enjoyed our meal. We will make this a regular stop on our Sunday drive schedule!

We had a wonderful time at this little out of the way restaurant. We had heard great things but had never made it there. Wow...were we surprised....lots of seafood items to choose from plus steaks and other things as well. The staff was very professional but treated us well. We enjoyed all the little extras that seem to be going away with the economy...fresh flowers on the table, linen tablecloths and napkins and fresh homemade hot rolls as soon as we sat down. We told our waitress we were there for a nice meal and were not in a hurry. She paced everything very well and we definitely did not feel rushed although it was very busy. We finished up with a piece of homemade cheesecake and a Baileys and coffee. It was the perfect end to a great meal. I was thrilled to see that they are open late on Sundays year round...seems like there is nothing open on Sundays anymore.

I LOVE this place. Staff is really friendly and inviting. Seafood is great and I even like the steaks. Sit on the porch when the weather is warm and kick back and enjoy a day in river country!
