San Diego Night Life

San Diego offers nighttime coastal fun, fine dining, clubs

Nighttime in San Diego is one of activity and solace. The ocean is always nearby with the awesome sounds of crashing waves and fun. Enjoy a sunset watching the boats casually float along the coast. Find an outdoor concert to take in under the stars in this classic and classy Southern California city. You'll want to visit some of the many fine places to eat, sip coffee or tea, and enjoy live music while in San Diego. If you're looking for a casual yet lively place to eat, try Joe's Crab Shack at the Rowing Club. If it's something more stylish you're in the mood for, enjoy some progressive Asian dishes at Jade Theater. Overlooking San Diego Bay, the Harbor House specializes in fresh fish, shellfish, steaks, and other fine offerings. The Hard Rock Café in downtown is always a great place to hold a party or other event with some real rock ‘n roll artifacts all around. After dinner head over to the city's historic Gaslamp Quarter where more than 30 nightclubs, plenty of live theaters, rooftop lounges, beach bars and other hangouts await you. Some of the popular nightspots include Altitude, appropriately named because it's located 22 stories above downtown's streets on the roof of the San Diego Marriott, and the three-story Stingaree nightclub.
