Racine Restaurant Guide

The food in fantastic!
You always feel like Family at Salutes!

We were visiting family in Racine and trying to find a restaurant to go to with my parents & our 3 kids. Ages 4, 6 and 10. Salutes was perfect. The staff was great. The food was excellent and they even accomodated my picky eaters with no hassles!!! The kids also got a learning experience from the owner about Vietnam from his wall. This is a great place! It should be added to the list of "must see places when visiting Racine"!!!! Salute!

I have been to Salute several times. I do not live in the area, but everytime I visit, Salute is a must go. It is very family oriented, the food tastes fresh and homemade, and the service is friendly. It's much more than a dining experience - it feel's more like an Italian family gathering

This place is fabulous.... I have heard about it alot, and seen it advertised, but never was in the neighborhood, to stop in.... My girlfriend and I stopped in for a pizza and were surprised to see Vince Condella from FOX 6 news there!!! That was cool, and the pizza was incredible. It was defintely worth waiting for, but I will NOT wait, I will be goin back soon!!!

Oh my gosh, we just got back from this place and it was AWESOME!!!! The food was cooked just the way my grandparents used to make it!!! They even sent out complimentary appetizers and because it was my friends birthday, she got a huge slice of Tiramisu and they sang Happy Birthday to her!!! She couldn't even eat it all so needless to say I helped!!! That is where I am goin on my Birthday!!! Can't wait!!!!!

It was a special occasion for me and everything was just perfect. The staff was so accommodating, it was remarkable! I recommend everyone experience Salutes the way I did.

Salute's is the most incredible Italian Restaurant in the area. I have gone there time and time agian ever since the establishment has opened and the person that resonded with negitive comments obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. The people are excellent and the food is wonderful. The desserts are to die for and the atmoshpere is totally cool. Since Salute's has been open (10 years) they have managed to put 3 different restuarants that have gone in down on the corner from them out of business. It's packed most of the week and good luck getting a seat on the weekend. Don't listen to this guy... he has know idea what he is talking about. 5 stars all the way.

Saultes is the BEST Italain resturant in the Racine/Kenosha area! The food is always cooked to perfection and their sauce is "just like Nana" cooked it. I am a repeat customer who has the utmost respect for the owners and wish them many years of CONTINUED sucesses!!! I WILL be back again and again.

LOVE THERE FOOD!! If I could eat there everyday, I would. The staff is extremely friendly, expecially the husband and wife owners. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I strongly recommend trying Salute's out!

Since I have had dinner at Salute Italian Restaurant more than once and quite often, I believe my review and opinion is a valid one of experience; of the friendly, warming, and romantic ambiance of this restaurant, the delicious, exquisite and home-like food that reflects passion for "Italian Cuisine" and of course, first on my list when choosing a restaurant, the kind, warm and passionate and always accommodating service of the owners and staff that are there. I would recommend and keep going back for a very nice family evening, a romantic dinner with my husband or just to go for good food and drink.

I can't beleive anyone would have a bad experience there!!! The ambience was incredible, I have so much respect for the owner, being in the war and accomplishing so much, especially this authentic restaurant. The food was spectacular, the husband and wife who run it were the nicest people you could ever meet.... anyone who does not like the food must be one of those idiots that actually likes the olive garden!!!! By the way, my gnocci were cooked perfectly, just right. Will definitely go back, and you should too!!

I have never submitted a review before, but I would feel bad if I let someone else endure Salute for lack of warning. Without question, the worst Italian food experience I have ever had. Salute's popularity is simply dumbfounding. I can only comment on a single experience there as I will not return, but the food was terrible. Actually, my dogs were ecstatic with the gnocchi I brought home for them. Overcooked to the point of mush and covered in a sauce that tasted like a failed home-ec assignment. I should have sent the plate back, but it was so awful I had no confidence anything else would be better. My wife ordered calimari which was a straight-out-of-the freezer, chewy catastrophe. I would like to believe we were there on an off night, but any restaurant that would unapologetically serve such terrible food, whatever the excuse, should probably be avoided.

The husband wife team that run the restaurant are wonderful. The food was fantastic, and the service was great!! We will defintely be back!!!!
