Roosevelt Tavern & Grille

A decade later, this popular establishment appeals equally to both locals and tourists with an enticing menu, professional staff, and comfortable vibe. Guests can enjoy an ice-cold brew at the popular bar, relax with a cocktail around the cozy fireplace, or settle into a comfy booth for a superb dinner where they will have the very tough job of choosing from the eclectic menu that Nickel characterizes as "creative interpretations of classic bistro fare."

"Our guests are increasingly savvy and sophisticated about the foods they eat," says Nickel, "and we try to stay right with them, catering to their needs and offering the freshest, most healthful ingredients available. All of our beef is grown hormone- and antibiotic-free from farms in Idaho and Oregon."

Customer favorites include the Grilled Flat Iron Steak brushed with savory bearnaise butter, Seared Alaskan Sea Scallops with jalapeno cream sauce, Northwest Cioppino, Braised Idaho Lamb Shank and Honey-Glazed Free-Range Game Hen basted with soy, ginger and orange zest. And that is just the tip of the iceberg from this inspired menu. Everything is homemade and everything is delicious. The wine list is equally extensive, reasonably-priced and diverse enough to offer just the right complement to any of their wonderful meals.
