Excellent! A friend, who had been there several times, took me, and I wasn't all that excited to go....but, I was so impressed! It's the best dinner I've had in a long time! My mouth was watering for weeks... Taking family from out of town there this week!

GREAT PLACE TO EAT. VERY AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD. OTHER THAI PLACES SUCH AS THAI ON 1ST AND THAI BAMBOO ARE SO AMERICANIZED ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY. I AM THAI AND RIVERVIEW IS THE BEST IN SPOKANE. I ALSO RECOMMEND BANGKOK THAI IT IS THE SAME OWNERS AND THE FOOD IS GREAT. IT IS ON THE SOUTH HILL SO THE PRICES ARE A LITTLE BIT CHEAPER THAN RIVERVIEW UP NORTH

Great Thai food, good selection of wines by the glass, prompt service, and very good prices. Even on busy weekend nights, waits are not long and the food is worth it. I especially like that careful attention is paid to your specification of how spicy ...

A Taste of Thai has the BEST Thai food in the Spokane area. I definitely recommend the Peanut Chicken, and the Pad Thai. I have tried most everything else, and they are all good but I find the Peanut Chicken very addicting. Unlike other Thai restaura ...

Worth the trip north. Hot and sour soup is outstanding! Ask for the seafood,(it isn't on the menu but Homer will make it for you). Ginger chicken unbelievable. Try it, you'll love it

a diner from Honolulu, Hi
My Work is Flying, My Joy is Flying & Eating Good Food. I eat often in restaurants and I just found a fantastic out-of-the way restaurant. You wouldn't expect anything like this in a little city like Spokane. It's not "right-in" the city but the nice 20 minute walk along the "Centennial Trail" (in 30 degree weather) from my down-town hotel, got me there ready for dinner. Did I mention that the view is great, right on the Spokane River. They show Thai documentary videos that made me want to visit Thailand again (the 30 degrees might have added to that desire, too). The videos are a really nice idea, especially for those of us who often dine alone. While it's hard to beat the Thais in service and hospitality, the service here was professional and comfortable. Maybe because many of the servers are also Thai. I wasn't disappointed. This restaurant, Riverview Thai, has a really big menu. It was soooo hard to choose but I opted for their Pahd Thai (I've never tasted better), hints of sweet, sour, tangy with overtones of smoky. A perfect match for the Kobe, Thai-style steak special they called "Crying Tiger Beef." As it was, I ordered way too much food for me to eat by myself. I wish I could have taken the left overs with me (I didn't have any steak left over.... that was the most tender, juicy, flavorful steak I've had in a long time) but I was only a few hours away from my flight time so I had to leave some, a little only, of the stir-fried vegetables and rice. What a shame to waste something so delicious. Their wine list is extensive and I think a good Cab-Sauv would have been perfect with this dinner, but again because of my upcoming flight, I couldn't partake. I recommend this restaurant with "high-five" and then some and on my next lay-over in Spokane, you'll definitely see me at Riverview Thai Restaurant.

* Pros: The whole experience was a gastronomical joy. I loved it.
* Cons: A "little" noisy from the neighboring establishment
* Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
