I recently went to Ricatonis Italian Grill after seeing one of his commercials. As I was looking for the address I came across these reviews and decided to write my own.
I enjoyed the food, and service. My salad came out quickly with the food to following within 15minutes. I love the bread and herb dip, which is better than many Italian restaurants, I thought Ricatonis take on garlic fries was interesting( I would of preferred more garlic). The Alfredo pasta was delicious, I can’t wait to go back and try more items , especially the red sauces.
I even got to met Rick. He is a hands on owner with a background in the restaurant business that dates back to the early 80’s in Dallas Tx.
I hope that one bad review won’t stop people from going in and trying it for themselves, as there are so few independently owned restaurants these days, which stuff a variety of choices on the menu.

We were visiting from New Haven, CT (07/11/08)and heard this was the crown jewel of Florence Dining...HA!!!
The food was overcooked. My salad came at the same time as my entree. The server clearly wanted us to leave so his table could be resat. I saw the manager eat a french fry off of a plate that he was about to send to a table...quality control? I doubt it! There was a lot of dust and smoke. How does an Italian restaurant with a spanish feel fit into some sort of latin america themed thingy in a "hey y'all" southern town? Go to Rosie's Cantina; food and service is WAY better.

Great restaurant. One of the best pizzas you will eat anywhere. It is hard to believe that this quality of restaurant is located in Florence. I love to take my gay lover there for a candlelight dinner over pizza and beer. Please don't tell my wife.

A home owned execelllent place to eat! This in not a chain! Rick has done it right. A great place for collee age folks or families. Down town Florence is beautiful. Try the shrimp or pork chops! Never had a bad thing at this fine resturaunt!
