Really large restaurant that is very busy on the weekends. Lots of food but nothing really special. I guess it is tough to have great food in a buffet where the dish sits on a warmer for long periods of time. The fish was over cooked and dry. Crab was okay. Fried oysters were overdone but plent...
I love this place!!! Been stop'n here since the 70's with my parents on our annual family reunion road trips from Illinois to VA Beach & Nags Head NC. If you like smokey, slightly tangy, pulled pork BBQ then you'll love Pierces - It's more of a North-Meets-South BBQ! If vinegar style or even KC styl...
Let me first start off by saying the service is wonderful. The waitress was helpful, very friendly and brought out everything with no mistakes.
The rolls were really hard. I ordered Blackened Catfish. It was very bland. I did not eat more than two small bites and shared some with husband and son,...
I lived in Williamsburg for many years and ate at Pierces a few times. It's nothing special. I couldn't understand why people from out of town go crazy over this place.
THIS IS NOT BBQ!!!! WAS IT SMOKED WITH LIGHTER FLUID???? FROM MY STOMACH TO THE PARKING LOT. A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME! STAY ON 64!!!!!!
Pierces is by far the best bbq around. We live in southern Maryland, and we always make a pit stop there when we're in the area.
I first went to the restaurant with my family when my children were ages 6 and 3. They are now 17 and 14. I have also taken school groups there for ten years. going to the restaurant is one of the highlights of any trip to Williamsburg. The food is good, there is plenty of it,the restaurant is clean...
My friends and I travel here once a year and I have never had a bad meal in over 30 years! Their Tomato Bisque is wonderful and their entres are always tasty. A Family run establishment with very friendly staff!
A must stop when in the Williamsburg area!
Great BBQ and I'm from Alabama the home of Dreamland BBQ. The BBQ is great, but don't waste your money on anything else. Just order the JC Speical if you love pulled pork sandwiches. It comes with fries, drink and a cookie. Don't get the slaw on the sandwich. A true southern BBQ place wouldn't p...
I have to agree with the dinner from Raleigh. If you were here for anything other than BBQ, (like French Fries, hot dogs, etc) than you could find better elsewhere, but for BBQ, it would be hard to find BBQ that is better.
This is the best Barbeque I have ever eaten. We live in Virginia Beach and I always make Pierce's a stop when in Williamsburg. Great food well worth the visit. Would reccommend to anyone who would like a great meal.
I read the rave reviews about Pierce's on this site so I had to try this place during a visit last week. The barbecue was very good. The fries were right out of the cardboard box and tasted that way although they were cooked perfectly. The cole slaw was about as bad as I've ever had. It was puree...
great food, great big dining area, great outdoor eating areas, great all the way around!! thanks for continuing to serve.
The first time we ate at Pierce's was in 1988 while on a vacation. We managed to stop back a few times when in the area and now that we live in the Richmond area we ALWAYS go to Pierce's when in WBurg. Reminds us of a small seafood joint in Plymout, MA (Lobster Hut). Great food, good people, reas...
Although in abundance and quickly replenished, the seafood was quite salty and not at the quality we're used to eating at the Jersey shore.
Prime Rib House was the answer to a non-touristy dinner complete with a Martini Bar that served the best drinks we'd had in Williamsburg. The steaks were tender and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The house specialty, prime rib, was melt-in-your-mouth good. The lamb chops were cooked precisely to or...
Although the food was very high priced, it was OK tasting- until we saw the owner in the kitchen smoking away on a cigarrette and touching plates of food. Then he was smoking his cigarette and sorting out the clean silverware. We were appalled at this filthy action and let the waitress know how upse...
Anyone living in the Tidewater area for very long is probably familiar with Pierce's BBQ in Williamsburg. As a kid growning up in Va. Beach, we would look forward to trips to the Pottery factory, just so we could stop at Pierce's for lunch. Twenty something years later... Pierce's has a fresh new ...
