Taqueria Vallarta offers great tasting affordable mexican food. I prefer getting the "once platter" or number eleven, which is carne guisada and two enchiladas, rice & beans. They have great service also. The best part is their prices. You get great food with out having to break the piggy bank li...

I luv this restaurant!! I remember riding the bus with my mother and sisters every sat. afternoon to shop downtown and eat at Mx. Manhattan---over 30 yrs ago. The food has always been good--excellent waitstaff and the owners are as nice as their folks were. Beautiful patio, great bar area, and so gl...
Sitting outside by the San Antonio river is great. Too bad the food is not. The tacos meat is tasteless, and the taco shells taste like cardboard. You have to cover everything with salsa to make it average food. Don't waste your time here unless you want to sit by the river and have some chips &...

The ambience is excellent. The ceilings are painted and lit to look like the sky. The inside rooms look like old missions...so it is a fun place to go. However, the food is worse than a tv dinner. The beans and rice are terrible. The taco meat is greasy and tastes weird. Go there for chips & s...

The only reason to eat at this restaurant is the view of the San Antonio river and the River Walk. The food is not nearly as good as the many other excellent Mexican restaurants located throughout San Antonio. Casa Rio food tastes marginally better than a tv dinner.

Casa Rio has always been one of my favorite spots to eat in San Antonio since I was a child. sitting outside by the river is always a pleasurable experience.

Mexican Manhattan has the best enchiladas I've ever had...they have a unique sauce and chili that cannot be found elsewhere. Although they do not give you free chips and salsa as an appetizer, the plates come with plenty of food to fill you up...and their tea usually keeps coming!

As far as dining goes, the Manhattan's food is definitely sub par. The food is overpriced without the emenities of chips and salsa as a free appetizer. The riverwalk sitting is very nice on cool days, but the inside of the restaurant reminds me of a cafeteria. For drinks the Manhattan is great - ...
The food is great. The one that most people have never heard of is the fried avocado stickes. Don't make a fast judgemant, these are the best. They are fried on the outside but cool in the inside. The cost is inexpensive. Call ahead on Friday and Saturday nights.
