What an awful experience. Don't bother. I remember eating there once before a few years back and thought I would try it again and walked away with the same feelings as then. Sorry
The food was good - I won't deny it - but don't plan on having any sort of meeting over lunch if you go. We took a vendor of ours there for a lunch meeting and after the meal was done we continued our meeting with a review of some pricing docs and the owner of the restaurant - Vance - came over to ...
Better read many reviews about this place. Just about every entry that Vance makes is some kind of verbal attack against a customer. He assumes that everyone will accept his type of dining as compared to other dining establishments. Fort Worth is too large of a city to deal with such a small place l...
Food was OK, but the owner was a jerk! the reviews explain themselves.
Place is clean but the owner (vance) is mean. If you could get the food without the attitude it would be wonderful. This place reminds me of the episode of the Sopranos where Tony tells resteraunt owner and chef Artie Buco that people love your food but know one wants to here your mouth! So stay in ...
The food is good but the owner kills that quickly. This place reminds me of the episode of the Sopranos where Tony tells chef and resteraunt owner Artie Bucco to shut up and stay in the kitchen.
We left in the middle of the meal because the owner was berating a black couple at the next table. Racism is an ugly sight to behold and the food lost all its appeal.
The first time I went to this restaurant was in 1991. I had a bad experience with the food and the waitress. She had my order wrong and then she proceeded to argue with me about it. The wait took a long time and if you're not white then they don't wait on you quickly. Went again in 2008 and pretty m...
This is the worst... place is dirty
Awful! We had dinner there with a group. They were informed that a member of the group had food allergies. They acknowledged, and then did nothing about it. There was literally nothing safe for them to eat. When questioned about it they said that they had been told, and would have something for them...
new ownership has put a damper on the place. not good anymore.
Okay, it's not new ownership. How about new management. Ever heard this one, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"? We've been going to Ol' South for years. I almost passed out when I saw the new (streamlined) menu. The old waitstaff has been replaced with upstarts that don't know the menu, and are...
I've been to all the best restaurants in Fort Worth. I had hoped S-E would be one of those great little "finds." It wasn't. The staff (owner / Mtr'd?) was RUDE. The prices are high for what you get. It was so crowded, hot, & noisy we left.
My last visit there tonight, the evening of May 9, 2009 a was a particularly bad experience. My wife and I arrived early in the evening at approximately 6 PM. The restaurant was at less than 25% capacity. Tonight marked our 12th wedding anniversary. After we ate our appetizers and awaited our ...

Dinner tonight was the worst tex-mex I have had in 10 years: overly salted salsa; fajita beef was artifically tenderized and steam cooked;small portions for a $13.95 meal; pay extra for cheese and sour cream; poor service. BAD VALUE AND WORSE FOOD AND SERVICE.
Used to go there alot - What happened? Fish was horrible, worse than tv dinners, had to wait forever, their friends got service first, the order was wrong, the girl handling the money was sorting through silverware, not by the handle either, the john is in the kitchen, old rubbery fish, awful tastin...
The Old Neighborhood Grill was recommended to me by a friend and I found it a delightful place to eat. Peter and his crew were absolutely wonderful and the food was some of the best I have ever eaten. Great going, Peter, Jay was right about you! John C.
The service, the rolls, and the iced tea were all very good. The chicken fried steak was tender but not anything special. The twice baked potato was horrid. It was grey-brown in color, which was unappealing, and the taste was not appetizing. Moreover, one expects vegetables served from an ice cream ...
If you have not been to the Edelweiss in a while do not go. There are new owners and the place is not clean, the food is right out of a can and is not authentic. I knew something was wrong when my shoes would stick to the floor when walking to be seated.
This was supposed to be one of the most romantic evenings of my life. It was spoiled by terrible service, a manager that was apathetic, and seafood alfredo that was so bad that it made me ill right in the restaurant. Their idea of a anti-pasto salad bar is a joke. We returned the entrees and left...
