Not good for children unless you like paying overpriced food. Also, the service was not the best and for the amount of money not worth it to cook my own food.
I went to The Melting Pot on New Years 2000 and had the best time. They have great service and great food. Its dining out with a twist.

Excellent food! This place is one of those New York style Chinnese restraunts. This means huge menu, good food but not much of a dine in type of place. Great for Take out!

This place is absolutely amazing. Anybody who rates this less than a 5 is ignorant. especially the person who said it isn't much for 'dine-in' considering there are tables and chairs for 60 people.
I've only been there once for dine in, and it was great. In fact, I'm going back after work today and get a few orders to go. It's not even on my way home from work, complete opposite direction. Thats how good it is!!

It's a homey, comfortable place to go for lunch but it's hardly a paragon of southern cooking. Surprisingly, Knoxville doesn't have a decent southern food restaurant. Nothing like, for instance, Lizard's Thicket. The Dinner Bell out by Loudon is relatively good but it's a bit of a hike.
