J Edwards is a great place to meet friends for an excellent dining experience. This resturant is not well known to the tourist, but is frequented by locals (both full and part timers). A well kept secret!
We have a "second home" in Surfside and J. Edwards is the place we choose to "meet up" with friends who are visiting the Myrtle Beach area because we know the food, the service, and the overall experience will be excellent.
We're on a limited budget, so when we go somewhere nice, it has to be worth every penny. We went because we craved a nice prime rib - and it melted in our mouths! Don't expect to have a date for two for less than $50, but you will not be sorry.
great steaks and ribs
They handled our group of 16 with no problem. Separate checks and they split the wine amongst those who took wine glasses. The food and the help were superb. We will return every year on our annual golf trip.
A must visit during vacation - Sundaes are very good. Usually long lines but worth the wait.
My husband and I were at Myrtle Beach for 6 days so we tried many different restaurants and this by far was the best. Cool atmosphere and GREAT food and the price was great for the huge proportions that you got! We left full and satisfied!
Don't do it! I got a coupn to this place, and went. The food is extremely bad. The celings drip water all over the place, flies everywhere, food is old, looks like its been reheated for days, The noodles were dry and looked old/stale. We loved the place. Price was excellent, and they offer alot of food for 21.95 include crab legs. Service was excellent. Recommend!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless you want to chase huge cockroaches and palmetto bugs off of your feet, do not sit on the patio. The bugs come in and out of the restaurant too. I would NEVER go here again.And I live here year round.

Their mesquite steaks are the best ever. I always bring my daughter and family when they visit M.B. from N.Y. and they look foreward to dining there.They have an excellant method of paging whenever the restaurant is crowded, and the wait is tolerable, especially when you have hungry kids in tow.
Food was way over-priced, didn't get what you paid for..and very, and I mean VERY greasy.. the oil practically dripped from the fries. Won't be back.

This is the ultimate place to eat. There is no where better and if you eat here you will be completely satisfied. It is a hundred times better than subway and quiznoz combined. it is definetly the best. I hate Jared.
