I just had the occasion to spend a couple of days in Wilmington and was happy to find a German restaurant in such a small city. While the owner claims "authentic" German cuisine, the reality is quite different. While the dishes are tasty and plentiful they are nevertheless unimaginative. Just about ...

To the Hand Made Bricks that lend their warm red tones and Historic Vibe to the Famous Cotton Exchange, the German...

My husband and I have spent several vacations in Germany and absolutely adore German food. While there were not too many choices on the menue, we found the food to be excellent! Also - the deserts were incredible - very good! Looking forward to another trip to Wilmington just to eat the food. ...

Awesome food, good service. A lot of choices and really great seasonings. So much more than the storefront suggests... try it!
Poor excuse for a cheese steak.. Wilmingtonians have no idea what they are missing!
They really should take the word "Philly" out of their name. No Cheese Steak restaurant ANYWHERE would use liquid cheese on a cheese steak sandwich except J Michael's. The manager at the MJ store told me this was a mistake when my wife and I were there last year, but we were served the same congeale...
Excellent food and service. There is something for everyone but the cheesesteaks are unmatched outside of Philly. (Maybe better!) Very clean, friendly service, and TV and games for the kids. Once you try it, you'll be back!
i would like to know if you ever considered selling franchises. if you are interested id really love to speak to you about it. i live in charleston south carolina. id love to open one here. i was a managing partner for morrison's cafeteria in wilmington years ago. i used to eat with you at your deli...
great. plus a variety of very sexy cooks.
Interesting response from the diner above. Probably a competitor that knows little. J. Michael's cheesteak components are authentic. Amoroso rolls are the Philly standard!
I've been eating at the Philly Deli for approximately 25 years. I always get my favorite: the pizza steak & cheese. It is magnificent and only available at the Philly Deli. The meat is marinated in a most delicious sauce. The decor needs updating but I go regularly for the delicious food. My friends...
This morning 7:30 AM I did not get 4 1/2 star service nor food preparation as I have had in the past. New servicepeople ????
