OUTSTANDING IN ALL RESPECTS!!!
I went out of my way to go to Foley's. heard they had old fashioned fish n chips. The most disgusting food I have ever had. Whatever the oil is that they use over took the food. My house stinks. Tartar sauce which was extra $$ was only mayo in a cup. The WORST.
Fish and Chips, done right. Nothing fancy, just fresh, fried, and delicious. We were in and out in less than 2min with our order, for 5 bucks a pop it can't be beat.
I called ahead and it was ready when I arrived... very fresh, cheap ($5 for dinner) and portion size was perfect. Doesn't come with any extras (tartar sauce, ketchup or lemon), but good enough to eat without. Overall, will probably be back, especially during the lent season.
I don't normally write negative reviews. Any restaurant can have an off night. But this was hands down one of the worst meals I have ever had. Portobello's food burst with such great flavors. There food is really good, try the mascarpone dish, it was excellent. I also like when the owner is an active worker, you can find him in the kitchen or behind the bar, we found him behind the bar, he made some good menu suggestions.
