I visited Clyde's last week with my girlfriends and we had a fabulous time. The service was great, the ambiance was cozy and sophisticated and the food was outstanding. The crab and artichoke dip is a must and the martinis are fabulous. I highly recommend Clyde's.
Great food, excellent steak and salmon. And the pomme frits were out of this world!
Old Glory Bbq is the kind of place that you would travel 5 hours just to eat at. My brother and I look forward to any trips that we make to D.C. not to see the sights, but to go to Old Glory. Try it once and you'll be hooked.
This place has the bestest atmosphere and great greek chicken salads. The people who work there always say " Hey Raffi, good to see you again", as they create the friendly local atmosphere. There are many differnet foods to celebrate all types of palates. I give it two thumbs up and an "A OK."
This is the Washington, DC beer conniseur's heaven. The menu has more pages of beer than food and some mixed beer drinks. The atmosphere is casual and the wait staff is well schooled in the various beers. Ask for a suggestion and the wait staff will guide you to a wonderful selection. The buffa...
The Oval Room is located steps from the White House in NW, DC. It's convenient to the Farragut West and North Metro stops. Because of its location, one can expect to see many famous faces at lunch, but reserve in advance. Dinner reservations are much easier to come by.
The atmosphere here is c...
Don't let the outside facade fool you, Dan's is a wonderful resturant. Step inside, and ask to see the "special" menu, pull up a chair to the bar, relax in the biliards area or lounge in one of the luxurious booths. Dickey and the staff are always friendly, and while there tends to be a crowd on w...
Food is good. Mac and cheese not baked long enough. Good fried fish; baked chicken. Good quantity for your money. Will feed two or last two days for one.
I found the Cafe Lombardy by chance as I was walking past when they had the windows open on Pennsylvania Avenue on a nice spring day. The inside of the restaurant is a throwback to another era, but i couldnt really tell you which! I have now been dining there for almost 4 years since my work relocat...
Best meal I ate in DC. We ate at the bar and were treated like royalty! Must try a sampler platter!
A jewel. So very civilized, sophisticated and a well-kept secret. Jazz on weekend evenings adds to the many reasons why 701 is a retreat from downtown DC life. Also, more galleries, new businesses and places to live in the area will make 701 a mob scene...go before you can't get in.
Great Place!! Good food. Good decor (maybe a bit overdone). The Queso is great, used to have lunch there a lot with the Kennedy Center Crowd. We'd drink pitchers of margharitas.
Prices are fair, you always get a big portion.
This place is better than the numbers indicate... They have the best beer selection ever. The menu is divided by nation, and as a younger man, my friends and I would just work our way down the list.
Great for Beer Lovers!!!
Quite classy with attentive service and excellent cuisine. Definitely worth another visit.
I went to see paul bollenbach play guitar, the drinks were expensive and weak, and they did not turn off the TV when the band was playing so the
hollering over the game drowned out the band.
I payed money and a drink min. for this ?
I've never eaten in the place, I go for the irish music on monday nights, its a gathering of people playing many varied traditional irish instruments including guitars, harps, bagpipes, pan drums, hammer dulcimers. etc. They play reels and jiggs and the sound is awesome when 10 or more people play i...
Find Tony & Joes a bit inconsistant. During the week the pace is slower and the service good. Weekends see tourists and it's a mad rush. Good raw bar and great outdoor bar in the summer. Cream of crab has a bit too much thickener.
Filomena's Ristorante is one of the most wonderful restaurants in Washington, DC. From the outside it looks unassuming, but once you go down the steps, the dining room opens up to a fabulous place to enjoy a meal. The waiting area is situated near a fabulous display case filled with exquisite cake...
Probably one of the best barbeque restaurants north of the Carolinas. This place has a rustic feel to it, but that only contributes to the enjoyment of the food. Ask for Dave's Insanity Sauce with your sandwich (only if you are truly brave).
