I would rate a zero if the option was available. I went there tonight. After working & not eating all day, mtt some friends there for dinner. Stowe's is a great little clam shack located just across the street from the beach. Fried seafood of all types to order. Great value. The lobster bisque is succulent. Take home some of their baked stuffed scallops - packed with scallops and shrimp in a tasty stuffing.
West Haven Beach is dominated by "Chick's" but it's astronomical prices and "cash only" policy mean forking over a "C" note for a family of four. Our search for better value and tasitier fare led us up the street to Stowe's. From the outside, it looks like an old fishing shack..walk in and the aroma...
