I normally don't blog but because of my experience while dinning at the Red Oak Diner Sunday nite, 2/20/11, it has left me no choice. I took my Aunt there to celebrate her birthday and This was a BIG MISTAKE. I will NEVER go there again. A few things happened: (1) We ordered soup with our main course and when it arrived it was luke warm, my Aunt ate hers but I requested a hot cup; (2) I ordered the Roasted Chicken and when that came, it was so dry it looked like fried chicken and the food presentation was HORRIBLE; (3) The waitress asked if I wanted to see the manager and I said yes. She went to go get the manager but when she returned she said, the manager on duty was to busy to come over to the table and to order something else "A manager that's to busy for customer service". His/Her actions indicated to me, that they are use to receiving a lot of complaints. So people take it from me and DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME BY GOING THERE TO EAT.

We recently discovered the Red Oak Diner, Hazlet NJ is Back and even Better! For those of you not acquainted with Monmouth County NJ/Shore area, the Red Oak has been around for about 50 years (with one short change of name several years ago). They are back with an awesome menu (traditional diner food as well as a full steak menu and high end stuff, if your in the mood), all at reasonable prices. They also have complete pizza selections; delivery in the area; and a full ice cream bar with Hershey Ice cream - $1.00 for a cone! We were there in July for their comedy night ($15.00 included 2 drinks) had some pretty tasty appetizers and $2.00 drafts. Also very kid friendly (movies; free kids meals etc.) I would definitely go back! Enjoy!

Dino's is fresh seafood done right. Steamers are the best on the Jersey Shore. Fried clams & shrimp are cooked perfectly every time. Soft shell crabs are always spectacular.

awesome food. even the most basic chicken is the best around. small place, make sure you make a reservation...and its bring your own. so worth it. Also, this review says its in hazlet, but its in keyport.
