Most of what I see here is typical for this area for a bar-slash-restaurant located in a strip mall. It's not that it's horrible or even bad, but the atmosphere is only good if you're comfortable around smoking and
drinking. This turns a lot of people off, especially if they don't smoke. However, if you're looking to grab a burger during the day, the Oysterette rocks! Great price, friendly service.

It was good place with great staff but too smokey. If you don't smoke you really smell it. We order take-out now.

I love your seafood for we are diebetics & very careful about what we eat. I would love to know your recipie for your seafood dish that has scallops,shrimp,crab,brocalli & carrotts in a cream sauce. That would be a great asset to our dinner table.

The atmosphere was rather smokey, causing my enjoyment for the food to worsen from what it already was. The raw oysters weren't in the greatest shape and the menu was very plain and basic. There were drunks at the bar cursing and acting reckless, making my wife feel uncomfortable. Maybe some pasta dishes or spicy seafood dishes should be in order. It's called the Oysterette, but it reminded me of being inside an old vagina from the 70's.

Everytime that i have ever been to this "hole in the wall" i have always had an enjoyable dinning experience. GREAT FOOD and incredible service.And that topped off with excellent prices! Can't really see why anyone would drive all the way to the beach for seafood when the best is just right around the corner.

I have been eating at the Oysterette since it opened in 1996, and It's the greatest around. Not too big, great atmosphere, service, and the staff is outstanding. I recommend it to everyone. Charlie W.

Wow, what a hidden treasure in Chesapeake. A hole in the wall that pays off being small. Get some drinks, good food, and always a couple of laughs. Perfect for families with kids. Hang out late to have great conversation with the employees.
