Outback Steakhouse

Don't waste your money or your appetite at this place. The slow, really slow service added insult to the injury of a flavorless, dry steak. When the waiter finally brought it (no doubt after his lengthy smoke and toilet break, they weren't busy only about 25% occupancy) he cautioned me about the very hot plate. Tells you something. He's out taking a blow while my food sits there under the heat lamps. I didn't risk sending it back, there's no telling what he would have done to the replacement, plus we didn't have another hour to waste waiting to eat, and my wife's dinner was getting colder by the minute. The potato was cold and mealy, and the skimpy daub of sour cream, and the anemic scattering of bacon, and cheese puts the dressed potato as a closed second to the "steak". This place has been on the decline for a year or so but this last visit was the last straw. Your money would be better spent at the Longhorn up 153, or even Texas Road House.
