One of the best meals I have ever had (rack of lamb). Visited the restaurant on a recommendation from a friend for a great meal for a nice, quiet eve...
Great food and a really neat atmosphere! Service was very good. For a great pub experience, try '10'.
Its faster to go to a real resturant than to wade your way through the drive thru at this McDonalds. 9 out of 10 times customers are asked to wait in ...

Restaurant Description

Oliva's features a small, intimate setting with a first class chef and staff. The menu features fresh homemade pasta and entrees, homemade gelatos, and desserts and some of the best calamari.

The menu features local products from Shadow Lane Farm who are committed to raising their animals on fresh pasture with a healthy dose of sunshine, as it should be.

I had been a regular customer at Olive Oil's for 20 years. I liked the food and the ambience, but the service was terrible. One time I went with 3 couples and one couple got their food after the other four people had finished eating. On another occasion I left the restaurant and happened to notice the C rating on the door. No more business from me.

My Husband & I have been eating at Olive Oil's in Aiken, SC for the past 20years. We live in Augusta, GA and treat ourselves to the special experience of Olive Oil's on special events. My Family loves the food! The place is small and cute. I would say it is the BEST around.

We have dined at Olive Oils several times over the past year. The food is always good. The issue is service or lack there of. Just this week, we had three different wait staff members trying to take our order, deliver the food and close out the tab. We were so confused on who was our server. They obviously never have enought staff. It has such charm and could be a great restaurant, but service has got to be key to make this happen. Everyone seems to be running at breakneck speed which also makes dining a not so pleasant experience. Please hire more staff, train them before throwing them into a busy Friday/Saturday night rush and you will see more customers coming back again and again.

We enjoyed our dinner at Olive Oyl's on 2/14/2007. It was a last-minute reservation, the owner understood and we came at 8:30, giving us time to go to The West End Bowery after hiking through Hitchcock Woods.
I had angel hair pasta with house salad. Adaptations to the seasoning were fine (request to omit the garlic).
My partner had veal marsala. Both dishes were very good. We shared a half carafe of Chianti Classico and have the glasses as a reminder of our dinner. It was my first time to Aiken SC. Olive Oyl's is a small place, good food, very good service.
Those who had a less than postive dining experience at Olive Oyl's possibly were expecting something other than a casual setting.
I would like to know the owner's name, also our waiter, and the waitress who showed me the menu and wine list before our reservation was made.

We had a TERRIBLE experience at Olive Oils. DO NOT go there - The service was terrible, portion sizes were SMALL, and the waiter automatically added on gratuity to our bills. We were a party of 7 and we went without water for 30 minutes before we finally went and got the pitcher ourselves. We had to wait 30 minutes plus for dessert. I left a message for the owner or Manager about our experience with dinner and no return call. Overall experience was horrible and I would not recommend eating there EVER.

I have eated at Olive Oils on several occasions, we always either sit in the front yard or on the front porch - we like the quaintness of the little house this restaurant is in. We have had different experiences with service, mostly it has been good - not great, but good. The food, however, has always been good. My favorite dish is a chef's special - garlic rubbed ribeye steak served with shrimp scampi and gnocchi - the scampi and gnocchi are served on top of the steak - this is a dish that makes ones mouth water just thinking about it. Don't go there expecting a 5 star restaurant, rather go there and enjoy a nice, casual experience.

We were a party of 3 adults & 2 children (13 & infant).
The adults ordered veal parm, lasagna & shrimp w/ fettucini. The older child had chicken parm. Only the shrimp passed our taste test. The marinara was scorched under the broiler & everyone did not compare notes until we left the restaurant.
I had been told the place had been recommended by a Dr. in Aiken who was from New York. He must not have eaten any good Italian before or he left at an early age. The service & atmosphere was pleasant & they were very accomodating to the infant but unfortunately, we had such a range from the menu that wasn't good, we will not return
