This place is horrible. All around bad experience. They call it a family restaurant in the earlier reviews! Are you kidding me! The owner drops the F bomb in the restaurant regularly like it's a commonly used word around HIS family. No one else wants any of his bad attitude and behavior around their family. Take your business elsewhere...I am telling you any positive review on this forum was done by the owners!!

This restaurant has to be the worst attempt, by any person, at running a business. They are rude, incompetent and in over their heads at best. I know business is way, way down; they've lost their original chef in addition to many workers in a relatively short period of time. It will be going, going, gone soon.

We had a great time at the Olde Hickory. The bar is great! They are bringing back a family atmosphere with having a great place to watch a game and enjoy a beer and great food. We looked at the Loft and will definately be using it in the future. This will definately be a great place to go and just have a relaxing time.

There is a reason you can buy a $25 gift card for only $10 for this place. It is terrible. It is a dump with over priced food, rude employees, and is an over all bad value. Don't waste your $10.

My kids enjoyed their meal and the food was fresh and tasted great. I like the fact that they are changing things and know that they are still making improvements. The people are friendly and the overall experience was great.

Clearly Olde Hickory is just getting started - main dining area does not have much decoration. Service was excellent - we were able to make substitutions and everything we asked for was accommodated quickly. Excellent desserts. Mashed potatoes were unusual in the manner they were served but very good and enjoyed the funnel cake fries. It was nice to go to a quieter restaurant that wasn't packed full!

We read the write-up in the paper and decided to try a Wednesday evening dinner. The ribs were cold and tough, the sauce was dried on the meat. Worst meal my husband had ever eaten. Mother of owner had just been to our table raving about the new chef and the smoker for the ribs. Huge disappointment after her comments. My turkey club was cold and on the heels of bread. It would have been better warmed. French fries came with it and were greasy and tasteless. We cannot recommend this place to anyone even though the waitress was very good.

Save your money and go somewhere that appreciates your business. $17.00 for a half rack of ribs, really? If you want a full that will be $34.00! The server was completely incompetent and the inexperienced, untrained owner and his mommy and daddy are rude. Please come back to Powell REAL Hickory House, we loved you!

I was hoping this restaurant would re-open into something great. It is not much better than a high school hang out. The owner does not seem to be taking the business seriously. I do not recommend this place.

We had a very long wait for both our salad and main course. Once we were served the food was cold. Our server did not check back in with us and as a bus boy passed by he asked my husband to place the salad plate in the dirty dish tub. We will NOT return.
