Old Bridge Restaurant Guide

This place is an absolute joke. The only thing good about this place is the bouncers, there sweet kind and loyal. They keep the bad crap out. The management is terrible!!! And the bartenders?? Forget it there rude, disrespectful and good luck trying to get a drink. Management here shows the worst attitude ever, they don't care what goes on here, they dont' want fights but yet when the bouncers break the fights up? The bouncers are the ones getting fired. PLace sucks, I hope it shuts down YET AGAIN! The main manager thinks his crap doesn't stink, but yet he's going to wind up working there alone behind the bar until he's 90. Dont' go here!!!

This place is just bad. The service is terrible, the prices are way to high, the decor is average, the entertainment is average. This is not a place that should be charging a cover - its just not worth that. It is also filled with loser wanna be gangster kids whose ambition in life is to play video games, live with their parents. After 4 tries, NOT going back here again.

STAY AWAY FROM OLD NEW YORK!!! The service is terrible(takes 25 min to get 2 drinks when the place is dead...) The food is ok but nothing that would keep me coming back. The place was better with the old owner he toke pride in the business the new owners don't have any idea what they are doing. I say they are closed down but August if they don't change it around quick.

The place is great! Went there for the first time for dinner with the family and we loved it. The steak is a must try. Make sure you save room for the desserts!! Great experience...recommended to all!!

I miss the old-Old New York. It seems a lot quieter now and the prices are still very high. We're in Old Bridge not New York. Also, my friend and I went last week, sat outside and ordered food. The waitress went inside to start bartending and totally forgot about our table. I had to go find her inside to get our check.

This place used to be great. They new owners have changed it a bit and it looks a little nicer inside but for the most part its still nothing special. The old owner who was a character at least took pride in the place. This will just become one more little ghetto wanna be kid hangout because the decent people will not put up with this kind of prices for this level of bad entertainment. Seriously, $10 Cover?, the only thing worth $10 cover is the Benjamins and Lifespeed. This place will be closing down in under a year.

Good times are to be had there. Bands are the well known cover bands that also play down the shore. They are open til 3 AM. Their bar menu is extensive and the kitchen is open til 1 AM for bar menu items. Spacious place and decor is simple. My girlfriends & I went there on a Sat night and DJ Dannyboy was amazing. So $10 cover and the band goes on at 1030 is that right ?

Food is good, but there are problems with the DJ's and entertainment-- disorganization. Sign says 8pm karaoke...well, that means 9pm. How long does it take to plug in a machine and set up a microphone. I was there on a saturday night about a month ago and they really blasted the music right over the small bar area-- a little ridiculous. No one was dancing. They need to get it together or they're gonna end up closing.

tHE FOOD WAS GOOD BUT THE djS ARE NOT. I DONT THINK ITS FAIR TO PAY 10 BUCKS FOR NO BAND. I MIGHT AS WELL GO TO PORTERHOUSE GRILL THE DJS ARE AWESOME AND PLAY IT ALL. THEY HAVE EXPEREINCE READING THE CROWD. NO COVER!!!! NICE STAFF

All "problem" bartenders no longer work at Old New York. Guarantee better service and food every time you go. The cover is 5 on DJ nites and 10 for bands, good entertainment. Food is great and look for DJ Dannyboy on saturday nights for the best time around.

Nice local venue, good food, atmoshpire out dated, great bands. Good dance floor.

NEW OWNERS TOOK OVER AND THE PLACE IS HORRIBLE NOW. WAS THERE ON 1-17-09 FOR MY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. THE BARTENDERS WERE OPENLY GETTING DRUNK AND NOT SERVING CUSTOMERS. THEN ONE OF THE DRUNK BARTENDERS ATTACKED A CUSTOMER. AND THE CUSTOMERS WERE THROWN OUT. HMMM....WHAT? DJ WASNT GREAT...THE OLD DJ WAS MUCH BETTER. I INVITED 80 PEOPLE THERE THAT NIGHT...NONE OF THEM WILL GO BACK. THERE WAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ! TRY THE CABIN ON RT. 33....MUCH NICER AND THE BARTENDERS ARENT DRUNK AND ACTUALLY SERVE YOU THERE. THIS PLACE WONT BE OPEN LONG....

stay away!!! new owner's are trying to run it like a disco from 70's-80's they charge a cover of $10 (free drink,beer or the cheap stuff)we walked in at 9:00pm with 6 people on a sat,with 4 more people coming, there were 8 people in the place, he should at least wait until 10pm like the other bar's in the area do when there is no show going on, They had a D.j NOT A LIVE BAND,I chould see a cover if there was a band not a D.J. also watch the bartendrs they have sticky fingers, our money was missing twice!! 1st time $48 and 2nd $22, we complaint to the manager and he said he will look at the bar camera, but never got back to us, of cause the bartender deined it but he give us 3 free rounds(10 people)so we felt like we broke out even, but I don't know if I Would want someone like that working for me!!I guess that's way there's a cover charge.

Nice place, outdoor bar and patio. Food was good and prices were not bad. Service was ok.

Really nice place. Decor is a bit off but I think taht is what they were going for. Retro 80's high open ceilings warehouse style. The food is pretty good and the value is great

They have bands, karaoke, dj's etc at night. The food was very good and affordable.

Excellent food. Try the steak Murphy Style for an extra $3. Get there before 5 if you don't want to wait.
