History - 104 Years of History
Welcome to the O.L.I, the Old Louisville Inn. The beautiful antique back bar was built in the 1880s by the Brunswick Company Factory in Dubuque, Iowa. It is a cherry wood, birch, and mahogany “Del Monte” model, was cut-to-fit and constructed with no nails. The Brunswick bar spent about ten years in Leadville, Colorado. At the turn of the century this building was built and owned by E.J. Difrancia, who was Louisville’s agent for Tivoli Beer in Denver. Tivoli worked with him to bring the back bar to Louisville. It remains one of Colorado’s two oldest antique bars and is a priceless treasure in our community. Due to dangerous gases in the coal mines, miners could not smoke, so most used chewing tobacco. This is the reason for the copper spit trough (once equipped with running water) that still exists along the floor of the front bar.

Boy I wish I could have given a zero. I went there St. Patricks day because I heard it was the place to be, it was not enjoyable just a big commercial for various products. I won't be back.

The previous review appears to be very old because it no longer has these high standards. The restaurant has become very run down and the food is awful.

Boy I wish I could have given a zero. I went there St. Patricks day because I heard it was the place to be, it was not enjoyable just a big commercial for various products. I won't be back.

This resturant may be listed as Mexican, but it has a full range menu from Pastas to Steaks.
The main attraction is the Historic Hand Carved bar that is the full length of the restaurant.
Don't give up your menu, keep it to read about the facinating history of the town.
Best of all is it's comfortable for families. My son loves it and we have eaten there for probably 8 years!
If at first it might seem just a little pricey, you're opinion will change as soon as your food arrives. Have never gotten a bad dinner yet.
I have nothing but high marks for this resturant.
