This is your stereotypical BBQ joint (unless you count chains). It's home-owned and managed. It's only open on Fri, Sat, & part of sunday. The food more than makes up for the lack of amenities. It's BYOB, and also BYOD (Bring Your Own Drinks) unless you want to drink Iced Tea.
The best-kept secret about this place is the ribs. The ones they'll normally put in fron of you are very good, but if you asked for the "Sauce & Toss" variety, you'll be in for a real treat!
Also, don't overlook the chicken. It's tender and moist and very tasty. Kudos also go to the brisket and the sausage.
The one place that North Main loses out is the side dishes. The beans are pretty good, but the slaw and potato salad are mediocre at best. The pickled okra is fairly good, though.
The seating is picnic style and the food is served buffet style. It's all you can eat for $10, or they can do up a plate of meat for less.
All in all, with it's World Class award-winning ribs, North Main is the best joint in town!
