A friend insisted I had to try NaNa Thai for dinner when I mentioned Bloomington was the destination for that evenings motorcycle ride. We took her advice and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Thai Springrolls to start and they were delicious. They were cruncy and didn't appear greasy at all and you could tell the fryer oil was clean. The sweet and sour dipping sauce was very good and my boyfriend commented it was the best he's had - let me say that's a high compliment since he's tried a lot of sweet and sour sauces. I ordered the yellow curry which was made with coconut milk, pineapple, chicken and I believe water chestnuts enhanced by a delicious blend of spices. It was by far the best yellow curry I have had and it
instantly surpassed my prior favorite. I can't recall the name of the dish my boyfriend ordered but it was listed as "spiciest" on the menu and I believe it was listed right under the yellow curry. I tasted it and while it was quite good and flavorful, it was definitely spicier than I could tolerate, but we were impressed since it had lots of ground chicken and vegetables and he seemed to enjoy every bite.
The banana dumplings, Thai custard and coconut and mango ice creams listed as desserts available sounded great but we didn't have room, so we hope to try those one an a return trip.
The food tasted fresh, the place was clean, the service was great and the people were friendly. This is one of the most pleasant dining experiences I've had in a long time and look forward to my many upcoming returns!
