Ate here in March with our favorite Aunt, while we were visiting from Michigan. The Blacked Shrimp was excellent, and the coconut cake was to die for. Best cake I have ever tasted.

I grew up eating Lek's BBQ, as it was called by the locals! Lek Carver was the best BBQ maker, ever! His recipe and wonderful BBQ tradition has carried on for two more generations! And, it's still the most delicious BBQ anywhere! And... I've eaten lots of BBQ all over the southeast! No where else even comes close to the great flavor of Mud Creek BBQ
and sauce! Their mustard slaw is also a favorite! If you love to fish, a boat ramp is right outside! If your out on the water and are hungry for BBQ, no need to go back for a car! It's right on the water! Hopefully, Mud Creek will be a family restaurant tradition for you, too! I guarantee, you will be back many times once you've tried it! Enjoy!

We were there 3 times last week while fishing Guntersville Lake. It is a nice place to eat and very convenient to the boat ramp. The wait staff is super friendly and food interesting and tasty. I would recommend this place.

Most tender bbq smoked in a pit and a sweet sauce that will rock your chops. A great menu with catfish, chicken fingers, grilled fish cajun style, hushpuppies, rolls, salads, slaws and a host of sandwiches, serve with french fries, onion rings baked potatos with delicious baked beans. I have been dining at this restaurant for years. It is a little off the beaten path, so it is easy to find yourself not going often.

The food is excellent, the best in town for seafood. The place has a homey feel to it with a very friendly staff. The laid back, country atmosphere also allows for a very good dining experience. It even rubs off on the customers.

Been eating at this restaurant over 30 years...you won't get more for your money anywhere. But I will have to say a couple of changes made in the last year or two have kept us from eating here as frequently. They recently changed their method of cooking the bbq, it now tastes more like oven roasted, it kinda lost it's quality to us. Then, they went and changed their signature rolls, and that really messed it up for my entire family. We still eat here occassionally, but we always leave saying, it's just not quite like it used to be, before mom and pop passed it along and the newer generations always think they know a better way.

a diner from Kuwait right now, wishing I was in Alabama.
I first ate at this place around 1955, if you want real barbaque, then this is the place. No body does it better than this Mud Creek. If you want great food and hospitality, then jump off US Hwy 72 and get a great meal.

Stuck in Kuwait and wish I was at Mud Creek.

This restaurant has been around for years (at least 25 that I know of). The bar-b-qued pork is always good and the cat fish can be had fried whole, filet or baked/broiled. Baked or French Fried potatoes comes with the meal along with vinager or mustard slaw Mud Creek also serves one of the best bbq sandwiches in the Stevenson/Scottsboro area.

Mud Creek is a little hard to find since Alabama made US 72 a four lane and by doing that moved the road but it is well worth the trip. By boat, look of the Mud Creek sign off the Tennessee River. Going through the channel you think you are in African Queen so keep an eye out on the bouys.
