A diner from Reno, NV
Apr 9, 2001
I found this place on a recent trip to Yosemite. After a day in Yosemite, we were heading to Reno and found an Oasis on Hwy 395 in the middle of nowhere.Your mouth starts watering as soon as you get out of your car. You can smell the BBQ outside. When you enter this establishment you feel right at home. The staff is warm and friendly. I ordered the tender smoked baby back ribs, the best I have ever had. My wife had the amazing Texas Spud. This baked potato is the largest I have ever seen, stuffed with butter, sour cream, cheese and topped off with a hefty serving of Chopped BBQ. It is a meal and then some. We also had a plate with tender brisket and pork. Both were so tender that you didn't even need teeth!! Then we topped it off with a piece of Hot Apple Pie ala Mode (big enough for two). It was an experience I will definitely look forward to having again.
