Unfortunately, I am not able to give it a lower rating than 1. It was expensive, the food was cold, portions small, and I would not go back.

I have been to Montanas many times in the past. I went to Montanas last April/2009. They changed the menu and the prices went up. They took off some favorite items..the rib tips were the best by far, they took them off the menu. I decided to try a steak as well as my sister. My other sister had the chicken Parmesan. My dad ordered some come kinda of chicken breast..over spiced and SMALL portion. We waited forever for the meal...when it came our steaks were shriveled up pieces of burnt cardboard. The chicken Parm had a hair in it. We told the manager. He gave us Coupons for our next return. Well they have since expired because we will not return to Montanas. The prices are too high for what you get.

We used to look forward to going to Montanas..now it leaves a bad taste with us.

We went to this restaurant for the first time after hearing good comments from friends. Service was ok and they tried to please plus the restaurant was not crowded so felt quite airy and open. Unfortunately the food was below average. We did not go there for steak - just a well cooked meal. My husband's Cobb salad was good, and I tasted it and have to agree but the roast chicken (one of their specialities) was terrible. Totally dried out and black and the baked potato was almost black because it had been made many hrs. ( if not days) before. The whole meal was tasteless and will never go back for this reason. One positive point being that when I complained about the potato the server went to the kitchen and suggested they make some fresh so we got a small refund. In a chain like this I feel they should be a little more concerned with quality if they want to have people go back. Much better chains close by, and to mention one "Applebees".

A very dirty place and for the price of the food you should get more. The nachos had MYSTERY ingredients added. We complained to management but nothing was done. Won't be going back there that's for sure.

The staff is unfriendly, and if you call attention to that fact, they proceed to ignore you, kinda proving the point.

I think someone should tell the managers and those responsible for hiring the bartenders and wait staff that they're in the HOSPITALITY business, as they act as if they are day laborers who aren't paid for anything more than performing the bare bone task of deliving a meal or a drink, without an extra word or kindness to make the experience more pleasurable. I guess they feel they are doing all that's required of their job by showing up and not stealing.

I'm not sure if this is a generational (20 something) problem, or just an attitude specific problem for this particular location (the managers usually set the tone for the entire staff) but something is amiss at Montana's.

As I don't need to eat where I'm made to feel unwelcome, or a burden to the staff, I went instead to Boston Pizza down the road, and ran into several regulars who told me they never enter Montana for the very reason noted here in this review and a few others.

Unfortunate, because the place could be good, but it's not. Send these Canadian kids down to Texas or the Carolinas to learn what customer service is all about. I think maybe they've never seen good service up close.

I was really excited to try this place and was in the mood for a good steak dinner. After waiting 1 hour for a table I was very disappointed. I found the food quality to be just average and the ribeye did not have much taste. The prices I found to be well above average. I would not go back there again.
